Hello,
I’m trying to untick Apply Root Motion on my fbx file within the project directory. For some reason it’s greyed out, is it possible to do this within the project directory and not the Hierarchy, which it is possible. I’m thinking it might be my fbx settings could be causing this problem? Any help would be great!
Thanks
There is something ‘off’ about that fbx. It isnt just an fbx - I think - is it possible it is a prefab?
If so break it apart (make it not a prefab) and you can adjust the root motion toggle.
Possible - duplicate the fbx (ctrl+d) an then edit the root motion setting.
Or Maybe it has to do with it being an lod set?
Hey ANMATOR2b,
Thanks for replying!
It’s not a prefab. It’s an fbx file directly exported from Maya 2017 into Unity project. I did duplicate the file within Unity project directory tab and it’s still greyed out when trying to edit within the inspector. It’s not using a Lod set, if that helps.
Hey ANMATOR2b,
I’m sure you cant change some features (Inspector Model tab:Transform,Animator,) directly to an asset (fbx file). It has to be a game object or a prefab to unlock these changes.
The reason I said it was an LOD set is because of the name - LOD1.
