Animator & movements

Hi!
I have to animate an fbx model with embedded animations (walk, eat, etc.).
I’m using the animator as in picture, setting transition times, but I need also to move models in the scene and I’m using properly transform.localPosition.

There is a way to embed movement directly in the animator?

Have you looked into ‘Author root motion’ in the documentation?

Or - Since it seems to be relatively simple movement, why not just parent the model to an empty game object and move that game object with the built in animation system?
