Announced FBX-Workflow in 2017.2 vs. current

Hi there,
as I saw in the Austin-Keynote Unity has now the great partnership with Autodesk and in 2017.2 it is possible to interchange files through FBX between Unity and Maya/3DS incl. all meshes, textures, shaders, etc. (what I’ve understand).

So does anyone knows if this works with MayaLT, too?

And what is the difference between this new workflow and the current with Cinema4D? If I put a Cinema-file into Unity everything will shipped incl. texture, etc.

Does the new workflow with Maya/3DS transport more data automatically?

And if I apply Substances in Maya, will they also transported to Unity?

Not able to find the options used in the video anywhere in the macOS unity version neither …

As I understand it’s build-in in the latest Maya version or the latest Maya version detects the new Unity-Plug-In (?)
