Announcing Activate3D's ICM 1.1 Free Community Edition for Kinect and OpenNI

Using our technology you can quickly and easily integrate Kinect and PrimeSense cameras into Unity on Windows and interact with virtual worlds from your living room! We’re really excited and hope that the rest of you are interested in taking a look and experimenting! With Unity’s great tools and our integration, a world can be created with little programming required!

We’re not yet on the asset store, but we really wanted to get Unity user feedback. You can find out more on our blog at:

Here’s a brief video showing some running, jumping, and crashing interactions.

Here’s another video showing off the integration workflow:

Fantastic, will you be making a OSX version?

We will definitely consider it if there is a large demand for it.

this is looking great.
how much is it gonna cost?

Holy cow, this is awesome.

The version on our website is Free for Non-Commercial use. You can take a look at the End-User License Agreement before you download:

We just ask that you give us feedback and let us know what you’re doing with it. We really believe that NUI is the future and we’re just starting to see glimmers of what people can do with depth cameras.

We’re still working on pricing for commercial use, but if you are interested in using this in a commercial project, please let me know.

Hi - great work! Consider me part of the demand for an OS X version!

That’s remarkable! Put me in the queue for the OSX version. -Jeremiah

My vote goes for the OSX version as well. Good job! Will have my eyes on this project in the following months.

This sounds very interesting, but I cannot find prices for commercial use on your website. Can you please give us an idea how much it will cost?

If you are interested in commercial licensing terms, please send an email to info@activate3d.com with some details about the type of project you are considering using our technology on. Useful information would be: size of development team, expected project development time, what industry is the project in, etc.

please host the package to another server, some location from asia can’t download it .thanks!
