Annoying MonoDevelop Issue

Has anyone else had this problem?

I’ll be working away, happily scripting with MonoDevelop which is nice, and suddenly two things happen.

  • I can’t use copy and paste. Suddenly when I select some code and hit then move my cursor and hit
    … Nothing Happens!!! Super weird. It just starts.

  • when that starts, and I go to save my new code, instead of saving it to the spot where I opened it from, just updating the file, it gives me a Save menu where I need to select the file and click save, then it gives me an overwrite warning!

So weird, so annoying.
Restarting BOTH monodevelop and Unity usually solves the problem, but it’s weird and annoying!

Does anyone know of a cure for this? Am I doing something stupid that causes it?

Hello there!

Copy and paste: there is something peculiar -at least- with those commands (i think the behaviour applies to others ones)… they don’t work if you have Caps lock on. Sounds weird, i know, but happens to me a lot.

The other issue… i don’t know… maybe unity synchro stuff.

You are exactly right!

It makes sense with the saving because while Save is , “Save As” is and Mono must just check for the capital S with control instead of the shift key itself. (Amateurs… lol)

Also works, but doesn’t.
