Another FBX import issue... again...

Hia.

My history with importing Maya files into Unity should be well known by now and tonight, again, I have run into an old problem , again, and this time I really want to get it solved so I guess it’s time to ask…

Why would it be that I click on a model, select it’s scale property, change it, hit apply, wait for the update to take effect, see no difference in the model in the scene, delete the model in the scene, click on the main asset again and voila… lo and behold what do I see here? The setting I had just changed had just rest itself… No matter what I set the scale to, as soon as I click on anything else and click on the model again, voila, the model is back to scale 1 again…

I am assuming it has something to do with the animation. Perhaps they set the scale on frame 0 or 1 and now Unity can’t scale the model… could that be possible?

So, I ask you, none of the settings I look at seem relevant and none of the settings I change seem to make a difference… So what must I do to make a model ‘scalable’ upon import again? Like I said, this has happened to me before… Please help me get this to never happen again! Arrrrgh it is annoying…

Thanks

Most likely a scale key for each axis on every frame (for every animated object). Check the animation editor.

I was thinking this might be the case but if that is indeed it, then it means that Unity can’t import animated models because the scale would always be off and I think SOMEONE would have complained about that before now…
