Anticipate impact position when firing cannonball

Hi, i’ve been looking for a while but can’t find an appropriate anwser.

The title sais it all. In my scene, I am firing a mortar cannonball through the air and
i need a way to calculate the position where it is going to hit the ground in advance.

Is there any standard way of doing this or maybe a suggestion how to do it?

What about…reading something about oblique launch? you can find, equations that can help you find the range of the shot… :wink:
