Any bloggers out there?

Hello everyone.

I’m sorry if I’m posting this in the wrong category, but I have a question about blogs I took a good look at a lot of my digital creations the other day and figured that I needed a place online to display them. So decided it’s about time to start a blog.

The thing is, I can’t decide who to go through. My two main choices are tumbler and blogspot/blogger. Mainly because they both are free, seemingly easy to use and customize and I’ve already signed up for both of them.

I was wondering if any of you bloggers would like to share your experience with either platform, and if either website allows unity web player (which I may use in the future for demo purposes).

Also if any of you don’t mind posting a link to your blog, or any other (preferably unity) developer blogs, I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks.

From what I’ve seen, Tumblr allows for more sharing (reblogs and such), though I haven’t had much experience with blogger in that regard. To my knowledge, tumblr wont allow webplayers in the blog, but you could easily just host them on a dropbox account or something similar instead.

Any way, why pick one when you could just host both? Digital artists usually maintain a presence on multiple websites and blog services, so why should game development be any different? Hell, why stop with those two? Throw some renders and screenshots up on Deviant art or wherever.

You have a point. I’d rather start off with one and expand later. I’ll look into Deviant art though that website appears to be really promising.

Look at the very top of the Gossip forum there is a ‘User blogs’ stickied thread.
