Any ETA on when Tree rendering is going to be fixed in Unity 5?

Obviously, terrain trees are pretty much completely broken in Unity 5 deferred at the moment, speedtrees don’t work with GI, speedtree shaders don’t have ATOC atm, terrain trees still don’t work at “night” at all.

When can we expect the tree system in Unity 5 to be vaguely usable? It’s a bit of a joke at the moment - I’m having to set my cameras clear colour to dark green just so I can release a Unity 5 update for my game. (Not sure what’s more broken between U5 trees and U4 trees at the moment either - the 4ms/frame bug with U4 billboards, or the broken rendering of U5 trees).

Would be great to get some ETA on this.

Not sure what sort of band-aid was applied for 5.0.1, but it hasn’t worked :expressionless: Imgur: The magic of the Internet

Is this going to be another case of waiting for half of an entire release cycle to get basic functionality actually working without bugs?
Also, should note, I’ve submitted bug reports for all the issues I’ve found. Can we expect a fix in 5.0.2?
