Hey, i want some grass/flowers to add to Unity terrain planting tool. The default ones are a bit too standard and a bit lacking. Anyone know where I can find better ones free? Thanks!
Not to be generic, but, asset store? What kind of textures? Photo realistic? Tiling? Cartoon? Mobile?
Here is some free grass that you can easily use on Unity terrain :
And better option is that using grass as 3d model and paint with prefab painter tools. In this way you can easily bake light maps and lower memory usage compare to unity Terrain system. Especially on mobile devices. For culling grass models, You can use Per Layer Camera Clipping that work’s great on this method.

You make a real 3d model for grass or you use Unity quad and just apply transparent grass material to it?
No. you need to create 3d grass in Maya and Max or … and then use a transparent shader.
