Is there any good unity pc game that looks awesome and plays nice? I just want to see what unity can do, and well, I haven’t seen much unity games, except the ones for iphone.
It’s not an MMO and multiplay is not really ready yet, though it will be in a near future update.
It’s different from MMO’s in that the areas are smaller, (zones for now) the combat is unique and engaging, requiring concentration to master. It’s also linear gameplay with the ability to play sandbox mode in order to build your character and farm for loot/krajules etc…
You do have the ability to hire henchmen to aid you in combat.
We like to call it 3D hack n’ slash with in depth combo system, single or multiplay. 8)
No worries. It’s a fairly common misunderstanding. We do have character building and our first 2D project many years ago was intended to be mmo. We had initially wanted to do an mmo. But this is KrabbitWorld Origins, more of a 3d hard core action game with light adventure/rpg. 8)
Unity can do pretty much, as long as you have good software designer(s), 3d modelers and animators, and sound designers. For some stuff you might need very high end machine though.
I/we have something thats more Half Life/Halo in the works… begins cackling
and nobody say to me “oh your setting yours goals to high”, I’ve been doing the unityiez for almost two years now and with my faithful team behind me I will bring the frag back into unityfragfest.
sorry bout that little blurp, two words :
Avert Fate
Twas my main inspiration to get into Unity, kudos to the pair behind it!
I don’t think anyone has really harnessed the extent of what Unity can do yet. Most releases so far have been designed to work well on older systems, in order to get the games out to a wider audience, and because better production quality equals more time, money, and/or team members. Frankly, I’ve been waiting on something like this myself (although I couldn’t care less about the PC specifically). I would love to see some bigger budget titles be created with Unity.
That said, here a handful of the things I’ve seen done with Unity which I liked most:
