Any interest in regular Unity challenges?

I was thinking about forming a group in which we do little challenges, e.g. copy a simple mechanic from a well known game. Then we could share our solutions via git and discuss them.
Let me know if anyone is interested!

Unity is awesome for GameJams. There are already tons of GameJams and/or Hack-A-Thons going on, with skill levels varying from brand-new users to veterans. Try websites like meetup.com to find Unity3D interest groups around you, or else you can check out places like itch.io or Ludum Dare, both of which are constantly doing jams. You can also hit reddit for groups like this: Reddit - Dive into anything

I regularly take part in game jams in Berlin, but it’s a 12 hour bus ride, so I was looking for something more convenient. I am living in the middle of nowhere, so I need to find people online.

I think you can find some people in the Unity3D forums, but this Scripting forum isn’t really aimed towards that. This one is targeted at scripting/coding issues.

Back out of here and check the list of forums. There is a General Discussion one near the bottom, that might be good, but there are also ones like Game Design and Work In Progress, and you might be able to make some interesting connections there.

Have you tried any Meetup groups in your area, or even something as generic as posting in Craigslist? You could also just start your own group, see who joins!

You may be 12hrs from Berlin, but I can’t imagine you’re more than a few minutes from other like-minded individuals who would be interested in collaborating in Unity3D!
