Does anyone have a guide or something about how to set up an app to check for and download APK expansion files (.obb files)? My app is just over 100mb, and will definitely become larger in future updates as more content is released, so I need to set this up. However, all the guides I’ve found that discuss it seem to be old. They’re about older versions of Unity or referencing out-of-date plugins on the asset store. Any recent ones that anyone’s aware of, or can someone just explain the process here?
Anyone? I saw the package on the asset store for this, but the problem is, it says it was made for an earlier version of Unity, and multiple reviews are cautioning about the possibility of it breaking the project, which I definitely don’t want to happen.
Okay, I’ve given up and decided to try using the plugin. However, I have no idea how it works, and the documentation doesn’t explain it very well at all. Once again, not much recent info about it, although I found something that seems to indicate that Google Play does the .obb file download automatically now. Does that mean the plugin is no longer needed? If it is, then how do I use it?
Nevermind, I figured it all out. Everything appears to be working now.
