I want to increase the Detail Distance beyond the set max limit of 250. I even tried to decrease map resolution in order to see it but that resulted in so many weird things so that is not an option. As it is now, it only pops up REAL close and pops away just as quick even tho its set at its maximum of 250…
Anyway to override that setting?
or perhaps a code or script that changes it to unlimited?

but be aware that the costs raise, so just setting it up and hoping that the performance will stay where it is isn’t going to work out.
also if its real close, then you potentially have humanoids or whatever that are out of scale, normally the humanoids should be 3-5 3d units in size in which case the far range is 50+ times as large as the person itself so pretty far
ye, i know, i think my scale is a bit messed up, but when i scaled down all sorts of weird things started to happen… maybe i should start over and make a more appropriate scale… was hoping to avoid that…
Thanks for the tip… appreciate it, i will start with a new terrain, i figured all the textures i made can still be re-used. Guess making a new terrain aint that hard anyway… A chance to make a better one too… And i set the camerahight to 5 like u suggested and the grass works fine now. Should have checked those kinds of things BEFORE i made the map, “slapping head” Grrr… Well, now i know that. Anything else scale related that i should be aware of or take into concideration that CANNOT easily be fixed afterwards?
