Anyone else having trouble using the asset store inside the Unity Editor today?

Is it just me?

The asset store seems very flakey to me today. Not the web version, the version built into the Unity Editor.

It randomly takes a very long time to load and sometimes it fails and says I’m not online or just displays a blank screen.

Is it just overloaded today because it’s the 1st of the month and everyone is downloading their Level 11 content?

Welllllll. I was sent email with a link for my Katagon asset and informed it went live early this afternoon. I then sent out some promo posts on the linkedin Unity Pro group and updated my Asset Store thread to reflect it’s released status…and then the link did not work when I checked back…ouch!

It’s always like that for me. My guess is that it’s something to do with connection speed and/or latency and how the built in browser works, though that’s purely a wild guess based on me being in Australia.

That and things like the back button being broken have lead me to use the Asset Store via my web browser rather than the Editor’s built in browser.

Right after I started this thread, it started working properly for me.

Works fine for me. Anyway, do you have Hamachi or anything similar installed? If so, that may be cause of issue. Unity has problems with Hamachi on Asset Store (built in one), because of Hamachi’s virtual network adapter that is required for Hamachi to do its job.

I had troubles with this in the past, sometimes loaded lighting fast and sometimes very slow (like dial-up slow), but only within editor. Uninstalling Hamachi solved the issue completely.

Then I guess it was just a fluke. Glad it is resolved now.

It’s doing it again. This time the asset store website isn’t loading either.
