API 28 to 29

I just got this warning when uploading my app with API 29

"You are about to drop support for 5876 devices "

Is this normal when you update an API??

I think it’s normal, because there is nothing we can do when Google increases the minimum API level requirement. For the devices count that you’re about to drop support, there will be a “Details” button or something like that on the right side of that message, you can click there to see how many active installs you have in those devices, if the active installs count is not much then I don’t worry.

cheers my app is not launched yet so it does not affect any for me, but just seemed like a lot of devices to go from 8000 down to 3000 lol. Just wanted to make sure it wasn’t something bad.
