APK can not access OBB, until after restarting the mobile

I have uploaded an application to play store and I have this problem, I do not know who to go to since Google does not respond.

APK can not access OBB, until after restarting the mobile
In the Android/obb/ directory, is the file “temp.main.1.etc …” and after reboot is “main.1.etc …”

LogCat:

Any ideas? What could be the problem.
Thank you.

There was some thread on this issue. IIRC it’s a device bug. We can’t really control the way how Google play installs OBBs on the device.

Thank you,
All devices that have downloaded the application also have this problem.
Also tested manual installation and is the same, but buid & run is fine.
Is there any option to enable or disable in unity ??

What do you want to enable or disable?

The problem is that when I install the app, apk does not detect obb until after reboot … I am discovering that the bug is only in this app, with the other app I have no problem.

The project created in unity 5.0 passed to 5.4.0 and currently 5.5.2

Can be a problem of mobile permissions??

Solved, the problem was of androidmanifest permissions.

@ianvan could you share your findings?

Yes,
If, the problem was in the xml file androidManifest, it was missing to add permissions on the sd card …

The reason the app did not access obb file.

@ianvan there’s another thread with discussions here: APK with expansion file (OBB) fails to load the second scene until the phone has been restarted - Unity Engine - Unity Discussions

Can you please share the model and Android verrsion of the device you’ve been testing on?

Looks like it’s enough to add READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, you don’t really need to write.

Several devices, and android versions, in none worked, because the problem, was simply add android.permissions.write_external_storage, in xml file.

If you share the details and the actual devices - models and android versions - it would be helpful.

ok… Lenovo a3000, samsung tab 4, samsung s3, s4, s5, s6, sony z5,
and any device that installing the app, do not have the xml file with “android.permissions.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE”.

For anyone who still have problem with this , here is the answer
