Hi, today I upgraded my Unity 5.6.2 to Unity2017.1.0f3 and when I build my android project the apk increases its size arround 4MB. Can somebody tell me why? I didn’t change nothing. I just upgraded the Unity…
Thanks a lot.

check the build report or open the .apk and see the differences. i haven’t tried 2017.1 yet myself for building our company’s project. interesting to see the results. i will report back once i do that.
Thanks Liortal, When I compare the projects I note that the folder “Library” is the only one that increases a lot its size…
i meant compare the .apk sizes and its contents. unzip it and see the differences inside
I also saw different sizes to the build using 2017.1. It happens since more assets get included into the build, which aren’t included in our 5.5.3p1 build. I will try to get the exact info and try to create a bug report for it (if i have enough time)
some way to reduce this?
It is weird… better version and worse optimize to reduce APKS… mm… why? this 4MB are a world in Android enviroment.
