App crash: "[Platform] No material found"

Our game is crashing on device (Unbounded) at a few specific points. The App quits, the Apple logo is quickly shown, and I’m then returned to the Home screen.

It’s not crashing the OS - I’m not getting the “remove your headset in 30 seconds” crash.

This is logged in Xcode at the point of crash, and I’m confused as to what is causing it, is this a known issue? Googling didn’t reveal much…

Well, I can tell you that that log message is coming from the (Replicate Properties mode) particle code; it’s expecting to find a cached material that isn’t present. @vcheung-unity might have some additional insight there. I don’t know if that’s the cause of the app crash, though.

If it’s possible to create a repro case and submit it as a bug report (and let us know the incident number: IN-#####), that would help us investigate.

This error message seems to indicate a memory issue - it pops up frequently when something in the scene or the scene itself is too large for VisionPro to handle. But it’s hard to tell in this case. The missing material issue shouldn’t cause a crash, it should just be a warning log.

A repro project is probably the best way to figure out what is happening, but something you could try is reducing the size of the scene and testing again.
