Hi everyone
I made game which has 170mb size in total as APK instalation.
After I install it on phone, as test version, it uses around 230mb space which is fine because of compression.
When I build AAB, check split binary option and upload it to google play it says it’s still 170mb.
After I install it from there it uses around 1.60gb on phone. How is that possible?
I checked only x64 arhitecture in Player settings
Sounds like the APK is wrapped in a VM. There are a lot of Android push problems which are varied in the explanations but all fail at some system level which of all the posts I see no repairs. I would not be surprised that ‘wrapped’ is the problem. You didnt build it this way but it gets this way. Something to think about. The extra size has to be code of some sorts.
I tried an Oculus push and it failed magically. I have been doing this for years yet this time it failed, magically.
So I stopped and now I just watch the other devs fail too, magically.
Wanna bet the VM wrap has got something to do with the marketing subscription push from the ‘New’ investors?
What a bunch of fools.
I have years of deep system level debug and analysis and this looks like something that is not of our making. I wont touch my failure and I have seen no comparative or complete resolution to the myriad of failures that are happening.
The new ‘powers that be’ had a horrible handcuff idea and it is coming back to bite them.
If the new investors think they are going to make money off their efforts they are sadly mistaken. I have seen years of this kind of folly and fallacy. It only leads out the door.
The guarantee is this and that is the new system APIs and builds are all failing. Guaranteed.
