no, they don’t
that has been changed last year to finally stop the massive missuse of fake updates just to remain up there
Ahh, that explains it…
I know Fowl Invaders isn’t the best game out there, but according to gamespot it’s ranked 12678 of 19548, that’s just cold. it’d be nice if I had a way to shed some light on the new release.

ensure you get features on relevant pages, that should help you to get some exposure for example.
also the global rank is one thing, but more interesting should be the rank within your category
Then why don’t you do a major update and release it as fowl invaders 2?
Isn’t “new and noteworthy” a selection by apple?
The simple answer is, Fowl Invaders 1 needs work. Aside from hating to leave loose ends, my opinion is I owe current users a better product. I do have a v2 on the drawing boards, but… throwing a full version out just to hit the “new” page, there by cuttng existing customers out of the enhancements, just isn’t right in my opinion. (not that there are many existing customers, but… some of them still paid).

from your original post I figured you’d finished version 1 and were just adding updates every now and again.
Definitely finish number 1 first as your loyale customers will almost certainly migrate to a version 2 if they know you’ll not simply abandon them with a bug ridden mess.
In this case, your best bet is to advertise your game and quote reviews from the apple app site. I take it you have a web page and videos already out there for potential customerts to view?
Version 1 is finished, just not polished. the 1.1 update vastly improved the graphics, models, etc… There were, to my knowledge only minor bugs (and only 3 bugs at that).
I have all the standard stuff, but getting noticed is … more challenging. With the update, I’m feeling more like it should be noticed.
