That’s great news thanks!
w00t, mods unsticky the iOS4 thread please!!!
Does this mean Flash is now also allowed?
Not much of a surprise really, but it’s good to have an official statement about the matter at last.
Finally we can put that (and the epic topic about the subject) to rest ![]()
EDIT: I think Flash is still breaking the contract by circumventing X-Code.
ok UT, now stop all that c++ nonsense and get back to work on actual features! ![]()
This is great news considering I made my Unity Pro w/ iPhone purchase yesterday. ![]()
Got the first notice about this while chilling in the IRC channel. ![]()
I hate Flash!!!
Well, I love it. Not necessarily as an end-user, but I make a large percentage of my income with Flash.
Plus, FlashDevelop is still the best code-editor I’ve ever used. Clean, fast and intelligent. MonoDevelop could learn a thing or two from FlashDevelop.
But that doesn’t mean I would want Flash to be allowed on iOS, I was just curious.
Like the 2D engine that was supposed to be built into 3.0! ![]()
Yes, it does. And boy does that mean about 200,000 pieces of shit will soon be in the appstore ![]()
Luckily Fash sucks and is bloated, it will run like shit on the iOS devices. In addition, it will not support all the device features.
sweet, they can hang out with the 500,000 already there!
Yup
On the other hand, I’d love to play Windosill or The Fool and His Money on my iPad. So maybe some good will come of allowing Flash.

I doubt that:
We have over 250,000 apps in the App Store. We don’t need any more Fart apps. If your app doesn’t do something useful or provide some form of lasting entertainment, it may not be accepted.
If your App looks like it was cobbled together in a few days, or you’re trying to get your first practice App into the store to impress your friends, please brace yourself for rejection. We have lots of serious developers who don’t want their quality Apps to be surrounded by amateur hour
