Hi,
I guess that we will know soon, but I am too curious
How do you connect to the new Apple TV 4K so you can transfer the app from Mac XCode and test it on device?
The usb port is gone. Wireless ? Ethernet ?
Thanks.
wireless
Xcode 9 & iOS 11 combination allows wireless connection if you enable it while cable connected. And it’s not just for apple tv.
I just wish it wasn’t so dang slow.
Thanks for the info - Apple TV 4K is a very interesting IOS device, very powerful (A10X) and economic.
Wireless is much slower in real use than the usb-c connection, if you ask me it was a stupid decision to remove the port.
We don’t have a gigabit wireless connection,
my wireless is is about 50 Mbs and Usb 3.0 about 200 MBps, so that’s not even close.
how you connect you tv to the developer portal?
go to apple tv and open settings
remotes and devices
now it will show up in xcode devices
thanks work perfect now
Hey guys, does anyone know how can I connect my apple 4k to the itunes on my mac ?
Thanks for the info! But i’d simply advise to use ArkMC for iOS/Android or for Mac. It’s much easier and it works without any bugs, fast and simple in use. Plus it’s compatible with dozens of different devices that work on the basis of dlna, not only Apple TV 4k. I personally have a Smart TV at home and stream wirelessly all the media that is stored on Mac. But, my friend has this expensive giant Apple TV 4k:)
When I come to him we also use ArkMC to stream videos from NAS or any other available servers at the moment.
Thank you for the valuable info! Personally, I’d also add to this article the apps that can wirelessly stream your meadia to different devices. I’ve been using for a long time ArkMC(for iPhone/Android) and ArkMS(for Mac). That’s better than spend lots of money on adapters or different sorts of cables. Plus, they both work pretty good, haven’t noticed any bugs.
