Amoebaz just got approved in just under 2 weeks. We’ve had patches that were taking a month on the dot. It appears their getting betting
http://thebinarymill.com/amoebaz/ Go on, have a look
Also, I think we accidentally uploaded PNG’s rather than JPEGs for the screenshot, and the images have had their gamma crunched a bit. So the moral of the story is, embed your gamma into your jpeg screenshots and apple will leave it alone. If you submit PNG’s they’ll crunch the blacks a bit
Apple have always annoyed me with their obnoxious gamma settings :)[/url]
So, it went live early on the 8th of July (australian time)…
Patch was submitted an hour later…
(new level / music stuff)
Lets see how long it takes them this time
Meanwhile, other patches we have in the queue have hit 25+ days…
[edited because i suck with dates]
my game submitted 25 june … status in Review

if I change the date of relaese, what happensn ?
Once its approved, you get once chance to change it. that’ll determine the day it says it was released… Done wrong, you can get released 4 or 5 pages into the ‘new releases’ page (ie - you’ll get about 10 sales).
Its all pretty awful
Posted the 1st July, got rejected 2 times
New version submitted today.
(Apple is very picky about Copyrights) the 1st time it got rejected because I was displaying the promotional price in the description, the second time because one icon in the game was close to one icon in the iPhone (but not identical).
Anyway… it will be released someday.
Make sure you don’t have an icon in the game that looks even like a silhouette of an iPhone either… We had a ‘vibrate on/off’ button, displayed as an iphone silhouette with vibration lines around it…
Denied.
On GunClub, which stayed in the top 50 for months, the grenade in the app originally simulated cracking the screen… That got rejected…
ONE look on the store found ‘LCD Crack’, where you literally just crack the screen.
The revolver we had was banned for using the term ‘Russian Roulette’… There were OVER 15 apps at that time that used one or both of those words, and were specifically about playing russian roulette.
Its not even worth the time emailing them, they don’t care. Just make the change, submit… Put it back later and it might go through a different reviewer
