# Application.ExternalCall documentation error - WebPlayer only?

We have been using Application.ExternalCall for browser communication for the last year, and I noticed that the documentation claims it is “WebPlayer Only”. I have had no issues using it in WebGL, I was wondering if this is an oversight in the docs?

Thanks for the report - I’ve logged it to be fixed. The Web Player is drawing its final breaths, and so references to it in the documentation will gradually disappear. More info: [Unity Blog](http://blogs.unity3d.com/2015/10/08/unity-web-player-roadmap/)
