I need to apply a texture to a character. I drew out cloths for him and his face. When I apply the texture in unity the cloths either end up in a bad position or on his head and his face is like on his body and not on his head.In the Unity tutorial examples with their character, I see they have a texture that has all the stuff on it, face cloths shoes in one picture that can perfectly be place on the character.Is there anyway I can solve this problem or there is a better way to place the textures on?
Sounds like something is seriously wrong with your UV mapping, therefore your query belongs more in the external tools section. There are people experienced with most all 3d modeling apps.
It sounds like you don’t have proper UV map at all. You need map UV coordinates in 3d tool for your model.
FYI, UV maps are not created in Unity, please use a 3D Modelling package like 3DSmax, Maya, Blender etc.
