Approval times seem to be back to normal

I just had an update to Zombieville approved in only 9 days time. The one before it (3.0 compatibility patch) took over 3 weeks, so it seems things are returning to normal.

BTW, optional lives, melee weapons and a new control scheme are available in the new version.

Downloading the update now. Zombieville is not only really, really fun to play, but also an inspiration. Thanks so much for the game and the information!

I’m a fan!

I just had affirmation garden Amoebaz patched in about 8 or 9 days aswell.

Indeed, this is helpful

hey all,

Anyone have a current read on approval times for NEW applications into the iTunes store? I submitted on the 14th, got rejected in 4 days, resubmitted on the 20th, and… waiting  It’s also my first app in the store (if that affects approval times).

Anyone have some recent times to share with those of us waiting in limbo

Thanks,

Galen

if you didn’t include any potetentially infringing parts in your description etc, still around 7 days.

but if you have anything that could get apple by their ass, then it can easily go up to 3 weeks until the final decision is made

I think when you get rejected and submit a fix you become an “update.”

My theory is that there are two queues. New apps and app updates. New apps take about 1-8 days, and updates are about 5-20 days.

I had the same thing happen on Azplode, new app, rejected, resubmitted, waited. It took a full two weeks from when I submitted the fix to get approved.

I have an app that was submitted on the 15th still waiting for approval. So needless to say, I am getting a little “anxious”.

hehe, “anxious”, good term for it

I’m probably in the category of “loosing my mind, and wearing out the itunesconnect → manage your applications button”

I’m starting to expect to see “wear and tear” on the site graphics

You submitted on the 15th, and haven’t had any “rejections” and are still waiting?

Hmmmm…

Thanks,

Galen

We’ve submitted two updates recently, and they both went through in about a week. We’re currently waiting for another update to post. If all goes well, it’ll be up on the store sometime this weekend (the other updates all posted on Sundays).

I submitted four updates this month (just to make sure everything’s working on OS 3.0) and one new title. Each of the updates was approved in five days, but the new title took two weeks.

Dig it. I submitted my first game on the 18th, still waiting. I’ve all but destroyed my F5 key. Thank goodness there’s no limit on the number of times you can log on to iTunes Connect. :stuck_out_tongue:

Considering half the time you log in it breaks, that’s only fair

I submitted v1.1 on Thursday of last week. It has been a week. Still waiting.

Well,

Since I asked the question, thought I’d drop an update: Fowl Invaders was “ready for sale” today!!!

So, my timelines were:
July 14th - initial submission to Apple
July 18th - rejected (for not asking the user before uploading their high score  )
July 20th - resubmission with fixes
Aug 3rd - “ready for sale”

Thanks all!!!

Galen

I just got the “Ready For Sale” email! Huzzah!

Zombie Bowling:
• July 18th - Submitted
• July 19th - I rejected the binary because I found a bug
• July 20th - I re-submitted
• August 3rd (6:46 PM) - “Ready For Sale” email received
• Still not on showing on iTunes as of 7:20 PM August 3r

From some posts I’ve seen here the App may not show up for nine hours, I’ll post later the time it shows up.

Oi vay what a day. I had to have our 15.5 year old cat, the frist pet the wife and I had together, put to sleep this afternoon. I needed some good news.

Sorry to hear about the cat. 15+ years is a pretty good run, though. My first cat lived ten years and I wasn’t planning to get another, but then I made the mistake of stopping by the local animal shelter. Now I’ve got another one walking and shedding all over my MacBook Pro.

Thanx technicat.

Maybe during the shedding and walking on the MacBook yours will wind up inputting some great code!

I submitted my game 9 days ago and it’s still in review…
WTF I thought the max review was 2 weeks
now you telling me you had to wait 3 weeks…

wtf

apple has to do better…

@EricJ - sorry to hear about your cat, mine went through chemotherapy last year (he’s doing ok now, but the chemotherapy may have pushed his kidneys too far… we’ll see)

@ jalist101 - I don’t know about anyone else, but a week of my review time was burned off with the rejection / restart. I agree apple should communicate more details than “in review” until some magic time when you “pop out” of the process. If you go 2 weeks and don’t hear, you could send an enquiry, but be cautious of the language you use… it’s their show and they’re not above proving it (so I hear)

I’m just glad that’s over!! Now I’d like my game to show up on some list so others can find it!!!
