Appstore China is purging paid & IAP apps that doesn’t have the code. You have to apply to the Chinese government for the code.

I downloaded the application and it’s in Chinese and you have to submit CDs with your app & videos on it? And then you wait. The hurdles are high. Not sure if I want to give the Chinese my personal info either.

You don’t have to do it if you don’t want to, unless losing sales from China would hurt your business and you don’t find the China pill hard to swallow in this day and age.
