ARCamera and Lensflares

Hi all,

Having an issue with a project where a client likes shiny effects in their app.
They want lens flares but I am having issues getting them to render in the app.
My instincts say they are not supported by Vuforia but there is a component in the ARcamera Prefab “Flare layer”
I’m developing for IOS so there could be an element of it being not supported by certain hardware that handle IOS.

I have to ask to remedy the situation quickly.

Any advice or help will be amazing.

Lens flares solved but having issues with depth masks.

Curious how you solved this. In my situation, the camera used for the flare layer is the only thing that renders in the scene (aside from a GUI.Button for debug purposes). The AR Camera doesnn’t even show. I’m removing flares for now, but I’d like to know since my designer wants them.

Literally its checking the flare layer box on the camera. I ran a demo app and it was fine.
Ironically I’m now chasing up stable ways to hide them now.

ZIN, I’m facing the same issue — did you figure out how to hide them when not tracking?

Add “Flare Layer” component to AR Camera. Choose type of flare and intensity etc…
PS: Import “Effects” package first.
