Recently downloaded Unity a couple of days ago, absolutely loving it. I have produced this simple walkthrough, just one room to focus on lighting and grasping the basics. I intend to look at cubemaps for realtime reflections next. C&C is welcome, Modelled in sketchup and baked in Lightup.
Not sure why no one has replied to this, maybe because you have to download the file instead of having it in a web player. And without reading your post correctly the page looks like it’s a regular VR demo, which maybe it is and I’m not see it on this work computer (can’t see Unity web players either)
The image posted looks pretty cool but the windows have kind of a strange look to them, sort of like they are dirty.
It looks pretty good. The floor texture is a bit to big though.
What I don’t like is that you’ve ripped my “how to navigate illustration”. You’ve even used my “I” key while the text says spacebar.
Surely you can create your own in your own style?
Don Gray: Yes it is a VR walkthrough as the thread title suggests, i’ve only just got the web player working so I guess previously everyone was put off from downloading it. The image i’ve posted has some film grain added in PS, the 3D model has clean windows
Pixero: I have to apologise i inverted the colours on ur illustration as a stop gap until i had made my own image that fit my website asethetic. I’m sorry for being cheeky with that! I’ve removed it now, I had no intention of stealing.
Your walkthrough is fantastic, how did you achieve the frosty shower glass? Your right about my floor texture, thought i could get away with it but its a lil low res.
Looks good.
Some artifacts in the reflection in the bathroom mirror
(not your fault), but isn’t always obvious.
Again, I think it would be nice to have the cursor locked to the center of the screen.
