Arcitc Warfare Sniper Rifle Showcase :)

Yo,

A vid of a shooting range and a new video showcase that’s kept me busy the last two weeks… In the meantime, I’ve been working on a car racing game

Enjoy

Very nice indeed, was something I was going to have a go at once my skills with unity improve, want to see your racing game now

It’s got a substantially higher budget, i’ll post shots of that as soon as I’m allowed

Nice Job there! I like the Animations.

The voice is cool also. It sounds somwhat synthetic… is it?

Frank

If you want I will rig and animate the AWP to my hand set with texture of your choice for $15.00. looks great BTW.

That’s pretty cool, nice job!

Interestingly, we managed to get it to #77 in entertainment before it even hit the release list

It’s already higher than one of our other apps in there, it would be awesome if it beat the other one too

I’ll eventually get around to making a Lite version for it too, but of course, it’ll be totally gimped :stuck_out_tongue:

#65… Rise my precious

EDIT - #53 but i’m getting bored of watching it

Hey I like the game but im new to unity and was going to make a FPS and was wondering how you made the sniper scope zoom in, can you tell me a place where i can learn that or can you help me out?

I’m not sure how he did it but you can use “Field Of View”. Search for it in the camera reference manual.

Simply set the FOV to a lesser degree and you obtain a zoomed scope.

Hah, this got bumped

Well in other news it was #22 in the US a day or so ago… In fact, we had 5 apps in the top 100

Nice app, its really nice.

While this is true it doesn’t render the objects in the the new FOV so I’m also interested in how JTBentley achieved his zoom.

I have a small sniper simulator / FPS project going and at the moment I’m just changing the field of view when you zoom in. The problem is that trees are 2d, my grass isn’t rendered etc. because my camera is to far away even though it looks close because of the FOV.

Your game looks like it offers a nice shooting experience. Much better than what is found in most games these games. Compare the realism in your game to for instance Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare is laughable.

The ability to add tracers to the bullets would be cool. Especially with gravity on.

Is that supposed to be Sako TRG?
