I find out that newer version of Unity editor are slower. But what about the game performance itself?
That’s the general consensus.
It depends on what is in your game. Unity is always adding new functionality and new performance improvements. If your game utilizes something which received a performance improvement, then it may actually run faster.
Is there a case where game run slower because Unity adding new high demand feature by default especially for 2D.
The trend is generally downward.
Every once in a while they fix something and there’s an uptick that then gets lost in the eventual general performance rot.
