Are realtime spotlights possible in Unity6 / VR-Core template?

Hi there, I’ve been building a VR app in Unity 6000.0.31f1, using the “VR Core” Template.

My problem is that I cannot for the life of me get any realtime lighting to work. Baked, mixed, emissive is all working fine, but can I get a simple spotlight. No.

I’ve spent hours watching tutorials and reading various posts but most relate to older versions of Unity. I did the Unity Lighting Tutorial with the outdoor & gallery scenes - I feel like I know most of the major features of lighting in Unity, but I must be missing something.

Today I even started a new VR-Core project from scratch just to see if I could put a simple spotlight into an enclosed room and get an effect - nothing even after killing all environmental and other light sources. The spotlight has zero effect and the room is pitch black.

Any advice is appreciated!

SOLVED! In this instance, the issue was the URP Config.
Edit > Project Settings > Quality; when I changed to Ultra, the realtime lights worked.

Drilling down, in Assets / Settings / Project Configuration, there are the URP Config files. In the inspector, (URP Config > Lighting, the Additional Lights need to be set to Per Pixel or Per Vertex)

I hope this saves someone else some time.
