Are the 'previous version' engine downloads BROKEN??

So I thought I’d post this here since I’m really not sure where else to turn to. I can’t seem to download any of the previous versions of the Unity engine before 4.5. I’m specifically looking for a 4.3.x release, but every time I select any of them from the list (both Win and Mac) I get the message ‘Not Found’.

Go ahead, try it: http://unity3d.com/download_unity/unity-4.3.4.dmg

Really, I just want to know if anyone else is having this problem. Is this a widespread thing, or am I just kind of screwed? And then who do I tell about it?

Go to http://unity3d.com/unity/download/archive instead.

Hi Adam,

the Mac ones (or at least the 4.3.2 one and a few others) aren’t working for me either. But the windows ones are, so it seems to be a mistake/error rather than a deliberate attempt to frustrate you.

Hope a Unity person comes along soon and can sort you out.

I’ve pinged the web team, watch this space.

Thanks Chris

Alright, I’ll be sure to keep a look out. Thanks for the quick replies.

That’s strange…the direct download link didn’t work but downloading from the archive page was fine, but now that doesn’t work either.

It’s apparently a problem with Akamai, our IT team thinks it will go away in a few days, poke this thread again on Monday if still no success.

A few days?!? Aghhhhh.

But seriously, thanks for your help Chris.

Unity 4.3.4 Mac download works if thats what you need, the early versions of 4.3 don’t though.

Thanks Josh. We really need 4.3.2 for Mac, as that’s what we’ve been using all along for our project. One of our team had upgraded to 4.5 but now needs to go back to the earlier version to help us out with a few things. Any idea if/when this be available again?

Some of the links are recovering, for example:

http://unity3d.com/download_unity/unity-4.3.4.dmg
http://unity3d.com/download_unity/unity-4.5.0.dmg

Those two are both back up and available.

Again, they will recover over the next few days, try checking every day. Sorry for the hassle and more importantly thanks for letting us know

I’m actually still getting the same errors on my end with the ones you said were working again. Just a heads up.

Sorry, let me be more clear. 4.3.4 still down. Other 4.3s seem to work okay.

Hmm, working for me this end, maybe clear browser cache and try again, also Akamai might not have updated in your area yet. :frowning:

Just checking in, everything seems to be working great. Thanks so much for you help.
