Are there any performance considerations when using Rigify?

I am by no means an expert at creating character rigs in Blender and am toying with the idea of using Rigify and the “Rigify to Unity” plugin (http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/90913-Rigify-to-Unity).

Q1. Do I need to do anything special for iPhone
Q2. What is the best way to rig and animate a character for iPhone (just walking, jumping, etc.)

No. I mean it’s a mobile, so you should not use stuff that heavily influences the performance. “Try it out” is probably the best advice.

Rigify to Unity has been downloaded more than one thousand times and no one reported problems with mobiles. I expect that there are at least a few projects that make use of Rigify to Unity on mobiles. Also from a technical point of view, I don’t see a reason why it should have a noticable impact on the performance. So go with Rigify if you like it!
