I run a Windows 8 laptop, and an Ubuntu 12.10 Desktop box and wanted to know if there are plans for a Unity3d release for Linux so I can start runnning Unity and editting my programs on my stronger device.
No. There are no stated plans to support the Unity editor to Linux.
i think its about time you guys get the linux editor up and running before someone beats you to it and monopolizes that market. i will port the code for a free pro lisence for life including all devices, and 60k USD
