running Unity 2017.1.1f1 on Windows 10. When I run the EditorTestScene and select the remote device, it shows the button for a sec then breaks with Failed to connect. Ar Remote is running and the device is an iPhone6S.
@danbfx@dev_alleylabs, Make sure that you build ARKit Remote with Debugging checked in the Unity Build Properties. ( I had the same exact problem and it was because I had built a release version)
@MWVrCommunity I got ARKit Remote to work on my iPhone X while running Unity 2018 on Windows 10. I had to build ARKit Remote on a Mac to install the app on my phone. However, I can run the Unity editor in Windows 10 and connect my phone via USB or WiFi. I followed the instructions in this Unity Blog post with the exception of pressing ‘Play’ in the scene before trying to connect the player. The iPhone should be recognized in Unity if you have installed Apple USB drivers via an iTunes install on Windows (I had to install from the Windows Store). I still occasionally get ‘failed to connect’ errors, but I up-swipe the ARKit Remote app on my phone and re-open. The only problem I’ve had so far is that the phone still wants to sleep with the ARKit Remote app open.
