Armored Warfare

First of all I’d like to thank all the folks here. Every post on this forum, both answers and questions, was a great help.
People like HiggyB, dreamora, Eric5h5, Martin Schultz, Quietus, Jessy, Brady, PirateNinjaAlliance and bliprob (sorry, if I forget somebody) are some kind of Buddha reincarnations in my opinion
You guys are the best, really.

Second, thanks to Unity team (HiggyB again ;)). Unity is the best purchase I ever made and one of the best applications I ever use.

Ok, now the announcement itself:

There are few promo-codes left, so send private message if you want one.

And of course, all the support purchases and feedback here and on App Store are greatly appreciated.

Nice! Did you use the community RTS as base? (if so, cool, that’s what it is for!)

No, it’s a shame, but I haven’t even seen it. If I have, it surely could save us lots of time. Thanks anyway.

I grabbed 49H36YN4PFH6.

Will let you know what I think once I get to play it.

Great job on getting a game out.

Pretty cool game.

Pros:

  1. Good graphics on main menu screen
  2. Good graphics on armor loadout screen
  3. Controls are smooth

Cons:

  1. Didn’t understand the controls at first
  2. Main Menu button doesn’t do anything during combat animation
  3. Didn’t understand the armor load-out screen at first

Improvement wise I’d release some tutorial information on your update. Also, your description says “Current Futures:”. Do you mean “Current Features:”?

Again, good job on getting a finished product out.

Just got: YWX66P4F7WLM

Thank you!

Loading Screen - looks clean
Game Menus - Great style
Game - Animations / Explosions → Great job!

The game could use a tiny tutorial though

Lostlogic,
Very useful and encouraging reply, thanks a lot. Fixed the “features”, shame on me

jonaphin,
Thanks for support, enjoy your play )
We’ll make a training mode within next updates.

I forgot to add to the “Pros” section something. I do like the combat animation. That was well done and looks cool. Sometimes I wanted to skip it for speed sake but it does look nice.

I grabbed code LAJHM3TWMEER.
I’ll check out the game now. Thanks!

iPhone 3G
3.1 OS

Update: I tried a 4th time and it’s running! Cool game! The main menu button does not work for me as well. Great graphics

Grabbing NJ973RHTJ9YF - We’ll check it out asap and let you know  I love armor  Thanks!

Stephen

Thanks
Never experienced crashes on 3.0, now updating to 3.1.1 to check it out.
Update. Ipod Touch 2G 3.1.1 - not a single crash, weird.

Main Menu needs to be hold for a while to work, protection against accident gameplay interruption.

It appears to be memory related. Mine crashed repeatedly until I rebooted my phone. I think you might be using too close to the maximum free memory that is usually available.

I’m running iPhone 3G with OS 3.1 also.

Hey, good job, I enjoyed the game. A couple things -

  1. Have you considered changing the timing of end-of-turn to be nearly immediately after the shot hits / explodes another vehicle? It would speed up gameplay somewhat, because when I get into a game, it’s the waiting that hurts.

  2. Are you doing strict one-turn-per-player rules? It seemed like when I had 2 tanks and the opponent had one, it would give the opponent two turns for every one of my tanks. It felt kinda like it neutralized the advantage for the player in the stronger position, so maybe it was that way intentionally?

  3. Models look great. Firing, exploding, and everything was great.

  4. It was kinda tricky to learn at first that i had to charge up the meter all the way to get it across the map. My first few shots almost hit my feet.

Altogether, it feels a lot like scorched earth with a third dimension, but a bit more difficult because of that third dimension. Tutorial and improved newbie experience would be welcome.

Missed a promo code, but congratulations. That looks really well done and fun.
