Ascension Online Demo Live

Hey Everyone,

Our online demo went live last night. It is mostly a tech demo, but we would love your feedback. Also if anyone is going to the Triangle Game Conference in Raleigh NC April 7 and 8, please hit us up at our booth and try and make it to our sessions where John Lyons and myself will be speaking.

Also we would appreciate if you have ideas or comments on the game play, art, music etc. if you could post them on our forums. We want to try and collect feedback from the community and work that into our iterative design process.

RaverGames

Thanks Raver,

We are going to up the size of the drones this weekend, so check back with us and it maybe a bit easier.

Yeah, the drones were definitely too small. Much to hard to spot/find/kill.

Looks great though - good feeling of depth and ‘space’. like it.

i like it but the the white line behind plane (don’t know the proper name) needs a bit of work to look more realistically.

I thought this was really nice and, as mentioned above, it did give a nice feeling of space and depth.

My only really ‘nit pick’ issue was that the mouse control felt too fast and responsive. I found it hard getting the crosshair on the enemies when they were close. (this could just be me though  )

Good Stuff,
Matt.

Discord: Drone size has changed. Take a look and see if that is better for you.

Kristalghost: If you could provide a bit more detail as to what you consider to be realistic, I would be glad to take it under consideration.

fallingbrickwork: It actually isn’t you. We were trying out some auto aiming helpers, but I think they caused more issues than they fixed so we are probably going to nix them in the next update.

Nice!! Me likey.

Thought the graphics were slick, didn’t really mind the drone size (unless they are updated now), and I would have to agree with fallingbrickwork about the sensitivity of the mouse.

Keep up the good work!
