Hello all, new to Unity. I’m a graphical editor but I’m not a coder, and I have browsed some of the Unity Manual. I was wondering how to change the project dimensions? I have a friend that is working on the code. So I need to know what the project dimensions are so I can get started with making an interface in the appropriate size. Also is it better to follow a grid based setup for simplicity, or can the images be any size to later resize them accordingly (either in unity or photoshop)?
How about tutorial videos that are easy for deaf people to follow?
for pixel perfect you should think about camera size:
If resized images will be ok for you, then no worry - Unity can automaticly resize the scene. Just think about, that downscale will be ok and upscale can be ugly. So don’t paint your images too small. Size should be depended on targeted platform. UI can be resized too - “scale with screen size” and then choose ho to scale.
Don’t forget about aspect ratio. 4:3, 16:9 …
You can check in editor, how your game will be on different sizes. Go to game tab and change resolution.
Thanks, but it’s still not clear. Ideally we will make pixel graphics meaning no antialiasing, although we still don’t know yet. So I assume a fixed resolution is best. Am I to assume that the “Standalone 1024x768” option should be selected as shown in this screenshot?

I think, 1920x1080 is the most used resolution in pc-gaming
Oh ok, we are focusing on android games for now. Is 1024x768 too high? I’ve heard of resolutions of 640 x 960 and 480x800
I think, it is not too high.
