Asset editor doens't work

I came here enthusiastic about Unity, and the enthusiasm got sucked outa me.

I downloaded Unity.

I opened Unity.

I created a package in my online publisher account.

I went to this page, https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/utilities/asset-store-tools-115#content
which has no downloads anywhere, so I hit the “Open In Unity” link and nothing happened while Unity was open.

Something was supposed to happen, the editor was supposed to appear in Unity, but it didn’t, it’s a glitch.

I also tried clicking on the "Upload via the Unity editor: from the publisher portal in my package draft, and nothing happened again.

I tinker around in Unity, randomly opening things, and finally see a link to “Download” the asset store tools. I tinker around more with a new Project open, and when I click on the asset store .dll file and hit “open”, again nothing happens it Unity says it’s unable to open the asset store tools.

All I’m trying to do is just submit some audio files for the asset store. Other sites let you upload a wav file directly, but it’s terribly convoluted on this platform.

Is there not at least one youtube video after all these years that explains it?

Have you watched the video tutorial on Unity’s Start publishing on the Asset Store page?

There’s also a section in Unity’s online manual: Publishing to the Asset Store.
