Hi,
This is my first post as it’s the first time I have got completely stuck in 2 months of using Unity!
I’ve been developing with Unity Pro iOS now with a small team using Perforce in its free-but-limited flavour as our version control.
I now need to upgrade our VCS solution, and wanted to eval Unity Asset Server 2.0.1 however I’ve run into a brick wall problem installing it on my Mac running Snow Leopard.
It appears to install fine - asks me to set up a password and says it has succeeded, but when I open Unity ‘Asset Server’ ifs greyed out and I’m completely stuck as to what has gone wrong. I have tried a reinstall but that didnt help.
According to the installation guide it should just magically be available once the server is installed. I’m assuming I dont need to purchase a license at this point.
One thing I noticed rummaging around, which might not be a problem, is that the /Library/UnityAssetServer/data folder has a little red ‘-’ on it in Finder and reports that I do not have permission to view its contents when I double-click on it. I am the Macs administrator, so this didnt seem right to me.
Has anyone else experienced this and solved it?
Any help much appreciated as I’m completely stuck.
