we are trying to setup asset server for our team.
first of all, using it by LAN connection works perfectly,
but how do you set it to be reachable from outside the LAN?
we made some test using W-iP - 79.95.167.27 -
and when connected i suppose the connection must be redirected to the right pc who own asset server ?

Yes, you’ll need to direct traffic coming in from outside your lan to your asset server. Note that if you are setting up asset server for a new project you might be better off using a third party revision control software package. Asset Server has not seen much dev attention for the last 12 months or so.

We started with svn but there is a lot of problem using it, so i espect unity technologies made something good for their own engine.
by the way is there any tutorial to explain me how to redirect traffic without error ?
cause actually the only message i get is this one:
Could not log in to [IP Adress]
could not connect to server: Connection timed out (0x0000274C/10060)
Is the server running on host [IP adress] and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 10733?
and well if again i modify the ip adress by my local IP, it works perfectly…
We have no tutorials that teach basic network management.
a little documentation on how to install and use is always welcome
