Just got my asset server license and like to submit my project to the asset server.
My project is 1,77 GB (asset folder) 1,83 GB (Library folder).
If i commit any type of file or file sizes the commit process is halting at “starting commit”.
Some minutes later the process abort’s.
The asset server Dialog is printing the massage:
Got an SQL error while preparing to upload ()
The asset server itself works fine for smaller projects.
So an little Update:
New mac (4xcore 8gb Ram) → New OS (macos 10.7.2)
Failure while writing asset stream for Assets/Plugins/iOS/libQCAR.a to server: server closed the connection unexpectedly
This probably means the server terminated abnormally
before or while processing the request.
Timed out awaiting result from Asset Server server
Got an SQL error while preparing to upload ()
Commit operation was canceled by user
that is a new 2 MB Project… he transfer only the setting if the project was empty and then he only thransferd the Trash…
That cant be normal !!! They say Multi Gigerbyte project mangement !! Easy and intergrated in unity …
Its not working at all and the … Support is only saying this:
I send them the File the require and the is no answer at all not “Jes we get the file and take a look” … not nothing.
The license for the asset server clinet usage is not cheap and its simply not working and I’m not realy amused about that…
I Hope that some one of the team read this and takes a second to think about it…

Edit:
What do i have to delete to Uninstall unity Compleetly Wit every possible settings that exist?
I think that cound help because on another mac its working fine withe that server.
The server is probably correct setup-ed (it works fine with windows machines) and the mac Client(unity editor) is working with a local installed asset server , so he should be doing well , or are there any hidden “how to setup for mac” usage tips that i missed?
It’s really hard to tell what’s going on with your setup. I suggest you hammer “support” on this one to get answers or help. If my Asset Server acts up it sometimes helps to just re-install it.
