asset server questions

hi,

I am a freelance artist doing artwork for some clients who own the Pro version of unity, they have asked me to get the asset server so that we can work together more efficiently but i am using the free version of unity 3.

If i buy asset server will i be able to connet with them ? i have been told there are some issues mixing projects between users using pro and free versions of unity, i dont really want to buy asset server if its not going to work.

any advice or information on this subject would be great, thanks.

Asset Server only works with Unity Pro.

Also owning pro does not give you asset server functionality, just to ensure that that part is clear.
Every single Unity Pro license that wants to use it must correspondingly have the addon bought or can’t use it (so you don’t pay for the asset server - that part is free - you pay for the asset server client license which is a Unity Pro addon)
