Asset Store appears to be broken for me?

I have in the past used the Unity asset store (on a Free version of Unity 3.5) and purchased various plugins such as 2DToolKit and nGUI. I have recently upgraded to Unity 4.0 Pro, but now when I go to re-download and re-import my plugins (which are seriously out of date and in need of upgrading to run on Unity 4) the Asset store refuses to download them.

When I click “Download” the store interface says “Purchasing” and endlessly hangs there. The asset is never re-downloaded.

What is going on? Is there anything I personally can do to fix the issue, or is this entirely in Unity’s servers? I submitted a bug report via the bug tool but have heard nothing back!

Ultimately I solved this by fully uninstalling and deleting everything Unity related, then re-installing. I was able to get everything I needed from the Asset Store.
