Many of us want to have successful sales and find assets at discounts. That’s why some friends and I have created AssetStoreDeals.com — a website to easily promote discounted Unity assets and find assets with reduced prices.
We decided to start this thread as a place for everyone to post any Unity assets you find at a reduced price.
So if you have an asset on sale, post it here and/or at AssetStoreDeals.com to get the word out for free. And if you’re looking for assets at discounted prices, you’ll find them posted here and in a sortable format at AssetStoreDeals.com. You can also subscribe to receive a weekly email of the latest deals, or follow on Twitter and Facebook.
We hope this will be useful for all of us! Your feedback and suggestions are welcome.
Why do you not just link to the Asset store, I don’t see the point of having to click to go to a site to then just have to click to go to the asset store. Just seems like Spam to get people to click your referral links?
Thanks for the feedback. Asset Store Deals is a free service for those who want publicity for their “unofficial” sales and those who are looking for assets at discounted prices, just like when we started in the spring. Now Unity provides an incentive for referrals, and this helps to offset the time and expense we put into providing this service. This allows us to continue offering this service at no cost. As you mentioned, there is a slight inconvenience of having to click twice rather than once in order to get to the asset (from the links posted here in the forum—just one click from the website). But we thought this would be better than having banners and ads, asking for donations, or other such ways of offsetting the time and expense of providing this service. If you have suggestions, we welcome your feedback.
Why are you accusing someone who is making an excellent job of posting spam? The asset store does not have a function for vendors to announce their special offers. http://www.assetstoredeals.com/index.php?view_all=1 aims to fix the gap and it’s a great idea. I visit that site once in a while because the unity store only shows me their 24 hours sale but a lot of vendors have their own special offers sometimes and those offers don’t get published anywhere except in every particular asset page.
As I’m subscribed to their newsletter, this week I saw that a couple of assets from Will Morrillas are on sale, for example.
It always pays to do some research before calling someone out.
He is putting his time to do this for US, for unity users who prefer to save money on Sale. So clicking twice shouldnt turn us down, we should rather appreciate him.
