Asset Store does not close

I was just updating an asset from the store and i closed it and it kept coming back… like it was there but not quite. I was trying to rotate my view around in my Scene view and the graphics from the store kept coming up and the buttons etc.

Sup that?

On PC with latest Unity

I noticed some other threads where you were describing some other strange problems you were having. Quick question, are you running Unity on an SSD? Also, what’s your environment setup; i.e. Win7? 32 or 64 bit? etc.

yes i am in some strange land of errors right now…

No SSD

Win 7 64 bit

Everything else pretty standard… GTS 250 video card… two monitors

The crazy errors with the animation editor i got around right now by putting a set of keys further up the graph… seems to work unless i jump to that last key by mistake.

The store issue was weird. i just closed Unity and started back up again and it was fine. I have had it open a few times in the past week but this was the first time i had logged in

check your security software. sounds like something might do too heavy thread inspections and alike that leads to all kind of funny and not so funny side effects.
same goes for projects in a drop box as dropbox realtime inspects the files and unity does not gracefully handle ‘file locked’ situations, it has this strange missassumptions thats its the sole emperor of the solar system

And SSD can’t be the cause of anything, I run on Win7 64 SP1 on SSD (Core i7 920, 18GB RAM etc) without the slightest prob

Well i only have Avira for virus and windows firewall… I am not running it in a dropbox folder or anything like that…

(i7 920 6 GB ram etc…)

Q

I actually dont have much experience using Unity on my PC as i was using an iMac until a few weeks ago when it needed to go into the shop…

So i dont know if this is a new thing or a normal just something wrong with this set up… hmmm i just got my iMac back i could open the project up on it to see if the Animation error happens.

Its also my first Mac so i dont know much about it either.

Q

Not true, some software doesn’t work well on SSD’s- like ZBrush for example.
