Asset store - Downloads hang and error.

Whatever updates happened in the past month or so really ruined the asset store for me. Now when I go to download an update, it’s about a 50% chance it will download successfully. If it doesn’t, it either hangs, or the progress bar turns red and simply says “Error”. Those that hang are stuck, you can’t retry – it gives you an error that it’s already in progress - until you restart Unity. The ones that say “Error”, you can restart them, but they usually error again. Sometimes waiting or retrying several times will allow you to download the update.
Anyone else seeing this? I have plenty of free space. What a pain. It was better before.

This is incredibly frustrating and there seems to be no work around it whatsoever. I will probably spend more hours trying to wait for the assets to download rather than time spent actually learning Unity. (Referring to the tutorial projects.)

Edit: Okay, after a few minutes of waiting and constantly restarting any downloads that error by clicking on it, The import button lit up. It’s working fine, I was able to download it properly and so far it does not seem corrupted.

While that’s great, I would like to request a better download manager from UT for the Asset Store. Something that can show our download speed, and an actual description of Errors, mainly referring to RTOs or other connectivity issues that may have been the cause of this. Also, the percentage downloaded HUD is clearly broken. My download kept showing me that it was on 7% even after the download had supposedly finished. Another stayed on “Error” even after the Import button lit up. It would be great to see this fixed soon.

I apologize for demanding more especially since you have given us such a great engine to work with for free. Alongside the amazing documentations and tutorials, Unity is a true blessing. Thank you.
