Is it just me or is the Asset Store broken in Unity 4.0 beta?
i guess it s you. i can connect to it on my end. 
On a mac and it didn’t work for me the first time I installed Unity 4.0 so I did a fresh install and now it works perfectly. Try re-installing and see if that fixes the issues.

I’m on a mac and it won’t load correctly. I tried re-installing and its doing the same thing. It shows me logged in, and the sidebars just say loading.
However, I can go to an asset page by going directly there via a link in a browser or something.
